On June 6, 2020, the Geneva Act (1999) of the Hague Agreement concerning the international registration of industrial designs will enter into force in Mexico.
Mexico will be the first country of Latin America to join the Hague System.
As of this date, the companies and designers from Mexico will be able to protect their industrial designs in 90 countries by means of a single international application and with a single set of fees.
Conversely, the companies and designers of the countries which are already part of the Hague System will be able to designate Mexico in their international industrial design applications.
With this new adhesion, there is a total number of 74 Contracting Parties of the Hague Agreement.
