Marcel.lí Curell Aguilà, son of the founder of Curell Suñol S.L.P., passed away on 7 November 2011 at the age of 50 after fighting with bravery against a long and unfair illness.
Marcel.lí was a passionate Lawyer and IP Attorney. He was past President of the Spanish AIPPI Group (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) of which he was a Member of Honour. He was highly esteemed, admired and respected by his colleagues, partners and staff.
It has been a privilege and honour for all of us to have counted with Marcel.lí for over 22 years as Partner and Director of the Patents Department of our firm, positions that he held with dedication, thoroughness and rigour from his profound knowledge of Intellectual Property.
Marcel.lí was a leader, full of strength and charisma, with a good sense of humour and a faithful friend. One of his many virtues was his pedagogy, which allowed him to train a top team of professionals who have worked with him following his example of reliability and good work, and have supported him during the hard times he had to live.
He will always be with us, being our model to continue with the legacy of excellence that he left.
Rest in peace.
